about

I think there’s no country in the world where electro acoustic improvisation based music is so taken in count like in Spain. I mean if you look for new music movements outside of mainstream genres. So when I started to explore music from Spain, I immediately perceived this reality of connection with the country roots, even in the most radical forms of experimentation. I appreciated that a lot, cause that contributes to give us not globalized music, but a genuine and original form of expression, with a lot of surprising artists working isolated, as well as in well organized groups and associations. I also had the fortune to meet in Spain, Pedro Menchaca, one of the most sensible and nice people I knew since I’m working on these surveys project. With his music competence, and radio activity on Radio Kras, he contributed in a really precious way to my knowledge of Spanish experimental scene. Great thanks go to Cesar Naves and Jaime Rodriguez too, for their great friendship and encouraging me to this project.
