Maurizio Carrettin
Born in 1952, residing in Cremona, Italy. Professor of Flute at Conservatory of Mantova, Italy. In the past, He has given concerts as a soloist, in Opera-Symphony Orchestras, in chamber music with the formation "Sextet Poulenc" with which he played concerts in Italy and abroad, for Public Institutions, Concert Society, international Festival and recorded programs for RAI TV and Radio.
M.C. head of the Discografic Laboratory of Conservatorio, makes recordings, in the context of classical music, CDs for various record labels: Blilliant, Dynamic, WideClassique, with excellent reviews international specialized magazines such as: The Strad, Classic Voice, Play News, Fanfare Magazine.
From 1990 to 1995, M.C. started electronic research, composing and recording music for the Theatre Research Centre of Cremona (Italy), combining electronics with live performances.
Since 2000 research has been canalized in laboratory with Granular Synthesys, in order to make more vital and acoustic feeling in his compositions. In 2015 the USA label "Centaur Records" published his CD "SyntEnergheia Project" released all over the world, where all electroacoustic events are combined and almost like “vital” phenomena, amenable to primordial matter evolution. His music has been called New Electronic Materic Expressionism.
This track, “Inner Symphony”, is the result of collaboration with Vanessa Tagliabue, singer and composer. M.C. processed his voice by Granular Synthetizers. The composition wants connect the current granular technology to the studies and research done by Luciano Berio and Caty Berberian in the 50s, in Italy, where processing was done on magnetic tape cuts, acceleration, reverberations and so.
