Writer, sound artist and electronic music composer from Tirana, Albania (born_September 11th 1984). His compositions contain psychological associations on how memory is perceived through sounds, images and how they morph with personality becoming abstractions to their original context. These soundworks are usually built through a textural combination of processed field-recordings, electronic sounds, acoustic instruments (cello, piano, etc) and sometimes poetry in unconventional forms of interaction between words and music.
Although coming from an academic background outside of arts (he holds a degree in Political Sciences and International Relations) Ilir started his artistic oeuvre with poetry at the age of 11, while in recent years he began studying as an autodidact the techniques of electronic composition, sound design and synthesis in their academic and practical level.
Apart from the EPs & album releases Ilir has composed music for installations and experimental cinema and performed live in art galleries and other artistic/social spaces in Tirana (including The National History Museum of Albania) as well as in international events such as Poesia Carnosa Festival (November 2014, Rome, Italy) and MainOFF Festival (December 2014, Palermo, Italy).
