Canada experimental underground 016 survey

The 12th survey edited by Unexplained Sounds Group…the 12th dive into experimental music deepness. This time, we plunge into the Canadian music sea. Canadian art music comes from many cultural traditions and musical practices such as avant-garde music, computer music, electroacoustic music, electronic experimental music, experimental world music, free improvisation, invented instruments, microtonal music, musique concrète, radio art, sound art, post-industrial, and self-generated music. This survey explores some of those fields with the work of brilliant artists such as Thierry Gauthier, Sarah Davachi, Aether Pilot, AUN, Maxime Corbeil-Perron, among others. It concludes with a pioneer of Canadian avant-garde experimental, Bernard Gagnon, who kindly contributed a track from the early 80’s. A special thanks goes to Mike Furnish and Thierry Gauthier for their precious collaboration with this project.
